Dulux Smarter Spaces Project

We have been lucky enough to be chosen to take part in the Dulux Smarter Spaces Project. Earlier in the year we put in a bid to them to have them fund the redesign and redecoration of our small hall and our bid was accepted! We are very excited because we are one of only ten schools across the country to have been chosen! Our idea is to have the hall redefined as an Arts space with areas for art, dance, drama and music!

We had a special day to launch the project and to get lots of ideas from the children as to how they would like it to look. We put these ideas together into a design brief for Dulux. The Arts Council, which is made up of 2 members of each class, helped to choose some of the ideas that they liked best!

Please click on the link below to see the design brief we sent.

We are delighted to say that after some significant delays (beyond our control!) the small hall redecoration is now complete and it looks amazing! We are now in the process of buying resources for the room so that the children can start to use it properly! We have already been able to use it for Ukulele and Recorder clubs and after school club have also had some art sessions in there too! We also hope to invite you in to see the finished room and have an official opening as well. We will let you know some dates for this soon!
