Thrive

Hello, I’m Ms Brown and I am the Licensed Thrive Practitioner here at St Mildred’s.

‘Thrive’ is a whole school approach that we use at school to meet the emotional and social development of all our children.

As Thrive Practitioner I am lucky enough to be able to work with every child, enjoying and sharing lovely Thrive activities that encourage the children to become emotionally resilient and self-reflective while building on positive relationships.

Keep your eyes peeled for some exciting Thrive fun coming up!

If you have any questions, catch me on the playground in the mornings or leave me a message at the office.

THRIVE Assembly

This week at School the children had an assembly in line with Children’s Mental Health Week. The focus was ‘Know yourself, Grow yourself’ and emphasized all the things we can do to keep ourselves mentally healthy.

Within this assembly, we spoke about What THRIVE is and how THRIVE can help us at school. The children were all very curious and I have had many questions about how our brains work and changes we feel in our bodies.

It has been lovely to hear the children talking so maturely about their mental minds and reflecting on their own experiences - sharing feelings and ideas.

Here is a link to a short video the children watched explaining The Hand Model of the Brain.  http://youtube.com/watch?v=Kx7PCzg0CGE
